FOE releases... The Fiend FOELio!

Since FOE was formed in 2013, I have ran several multi-year campaigns, one-shots, and the Legacies campaign that still runs yearly at Gencon and at other smaller events through the year.

These many events resulted in the creation of several different, new, and unique opponents. These stat blocks languished in various documents, and adventures, forgotten or ignored. Some were on roll20 where I created them. A few were on pictures of a scan of a partial stat block.

Over the past two years or so, I have been collecting these stat blocks in one location. Several of them needed new coats of paints: tightening the wording, creating new art, and bringing things in line with hour we create our stat blocks now.

I added some new art, from the usual artists I work with, and a several pieces using AI. This is capped by The British Shark's awesome cover inspired by X-Men 135 by John Byrne (one of my favorite comic of all time).

The book contains:
- Over 250 fully-statted creatures and NPCs to use as allies or opponents and seven major characters from the Legacies campaign over the years.
- Unique characters from Akhamet, Olympia, Ozaka, Rhym, Tarsyn, the Truskan Empire, and even fully-statted First Ones.
- New creatures from FOE settings, presented with notes on how to adapt them to other worlds.
- Updated creatures from older FOE products. Giving a little love to these creatures after years of playtesting. Cleaning and bringing them in line with more modern standards.
- Dozens of Book of Lairs-style encounters provide immediate adventure ideas for your table.
- Though written for the worlds of FOE, most of the material contained within can be used for any campaign setting.

This is a book that took over a decade to create!

It is available on:
- Amazon for physical books.
- DriveThruRPG for PDFs.

  • The PCs turned it over to Saggakara

However, the festival quickly turned into a popularity contest between His Wives. As different factions vied for control of the Harem or draw the support for their own sides. The festivities promoted many exchange between people of different kingdoms and worlds. [Gencon 2025] Narrative - Ophara At Night

SaggakaraOphara At Night is the first of a few short pieces of fiction for Gencon 2025. I wrote two pieces last year, and will have more coming as the whole event comes together in my mind.

The first is set in Akhamet where Saggakara enjoys a rare moment alone in the Harem...

I posted the short fiction on Royal Road.

Gencon Perks: Minis for the GMs Akhamet 2

Part of the GM perks for FOE is that you get some "products". I am never truly upfront with those because I never know ahead of time what I will be able to offer. This year, I managed to paint nearly everything that appeared in the adventure and offer baggies of miniatures to the GMs.

I printed and painted them myself.

[Release] Races of Akhamet: Mesaru in English and Francais!

One thing I learned over the years is how creative people are and how exciting it is to talk about them regarding a product you wrote. It's like asking a gamer about his character's background... But on a whole 'nother level.

One such conversation spawned over multiple FOE product led to the question many dread asking. "What about your campaign? What cool things are you doing?" I'm sure many of you immediately went to some dark corner of your mind and retreated.

Not I. Ooooh no not I. "Malcolm" began telling me about his campaign plan.

I'll be honest and I was annoyed, jealous, and a little angry at what he revealed to me. Quite simply because I could not join and play in that campaign! It's like he hit everything I wanted to play in Akhamet!

As the conversation continued, he said "you know one of my players came up with a race of based on the fennec foxes of the desert." More conversation, an original draft, and I was sold.

The mesaru (rename) are a people who do not claim descendance from one of the gods. The idea intrigued me because my thoughts drifted to "everyone in Akhamet is linked to one of the gods..." But then as the idea sat in the back of my head, it gained traction and I liked it more and more with each passing moment. Of course, creating an exception to the universal rule made the rule of "everyone descends" from the gods better!

Not only that, but I plan to add a Mesaru as one of the new iconics to replace the now-deceased Osaphis! I will post an update on that later. Who is that character? You will have to wait!

I got to speak with Greewi and worked on a way to include them into "main" Akhamet. This product is the result of those conversations.

Want to get it for 50% off? This has been added to the Akahmet Bundle, giving you access to the setting, adventures, and sourcebooks. A lot of goodies! And if you bought some already, you may actually get it for free or almost free! Check it out.

This product is now available on DriveThru RPG.

Pour ceux qui parlent Franccedil;ais, ce produit est offert dans les deux langues ensemble!

[Release] Burned and Cooked Released for Akhamet

Gencon 2021!!!

WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!?

Well... I thought it was out there already. I set up everything for it last year after Gencon but never made it public. So it was simply waiting for me to push the button.

Funny thing: I was talking to a FOE writer about something done in this adventure and told him "here let me send it to you to see what I mean." Well... I could not find it. With good reason!

This is an investigative adventure with an alternative way to run things without making PCs choice irrelevant or giving out all the information in one dump. It is a style I will certainly revisit in the future.

Here is the blurb for this one:
The City of Cats is a great place to find entertainment and relaxation. After a few weeks, you are in need of funds but lucky you, you managed to get a lucrative job lined up.
A 5th edition adventure for characters 1 through 4 (optimized for 3rd level).
This adventure first premiered at Gencon 2021.

You may also be interested in getting this and other Akhamet adventure for 50% by getting the Adventure Bundle.

But if you are interested in this one only... Cooked and Burned is available on DriveThruRpg now!

Dead And Buried Akhamet adventure released!

With Gencon over (for a while), I am going over a number of things left undone. This includes making the adventures available to everyone.

"But JP! You put the Olympia adventures out there weeks ago."

Checkmate.

Okay, my only defense is that I've been busy writing new material for a Planescape campaign AND Ozaka. That's not an excuse but... That's the truth.

So... Dead and Buried is an adventure I worked and reworked and tweaked and prodded and disliked and changed and switched. Until AT LAST, I got it right. This iterative work made this into a fun adventure that really moves the Akhamet forward and that has a nice flow. The flow was what really tripped me as I was writing this one.

Here is the blurb for this one:
Some secrets lie under the desert for good reasons. Part 1 of the Dark Tide series.
A 5th edition adventure for characters 1 through 5 runs around 4 hours.
This adventure first premiered at Gencon 2022.

It is an interesting adventure that challenges not only the combat-enthusiasts at your table, but also the role-players and the puzzle fans.

I back-seat drove a few tables and found it fascinating to hear how different GMs presented the same challenges. And challenges, with an "S" is exactly what this short adventure provides.

You may also be interested in getting this and other Akhamet adventure for 50% by getting the Adventure Bundle.

But if you are interested in this one only... Dead and Buried is available on DriveThruRpg now!

Panacea Reaches Copper Bestseller

When it first released, Panacea was the first adventure in quite some time that was designed as a multi-level adventure. Previously adventures I published were all designed for a 4-5h one-evening campaign.

Panacea started pretty much the same way, as a simple dungeoncrawl. And as I wrote and wrote, additional elements came to mind, making the result an adventure that could easy bring characters from 3rd to 5th level and still provide a challenge.

Not only is there challenge, but a fair bit of exploration as well. I ran my own Akhamet group through this and it really made an impact on them. They learned they should've brought garlic butter...

This post is to thank everyone who bought a copy of the adventure. I am greatly appreciative and thankful.

Panacea is now available on DriveThruRPG. It is also part of the Akhamet Adventure Bundle.

Desert Pearls Reached Copper Bestseller!

Desert PearlsIt is with great joy that I announce that the Akhamet adventure Desert Pearls has reached the first best-seller level, Copper!

For those who remember back in 2019, Desert Pearls premiered officially at Gencon where it marked a few people. It is an action-oriented adventure that really showcase some of the unique elements of Akhamet and the complex relation between its many clergies. It introduced an NPC many people still hate to this day, the gebite Siwa (which reminds me... I must bring him back next year!)

I loved running that adventure, the few times I did it. I even used it to start my ongoing Akhamet campaign (which has been running for 3 years). The name "Wild Card Billy" (Shout-out Billy!) is still mentioned around the table...

You can get Desert Pearls today on DriveThruRPG. If you want to get it 50% off, get the Akhamet Bundle.

From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for your support of FOE. It is always appreciated and motivating to continue.

[Meet The Iconics] Akhamet Party #1

Here is a group picture of the group of iconics dubbed "Akhamet 1". As such, they were the first group I create when I started Akhamet.

They were created with races and options from the Akhamet Campaign Setting book.

They include:
- Amenheti the horite cleric of Pharaoh, a man of the people
- Hapatset, the ubasti sorceress, one of Pharaoh's wives
- Neferhana, the anubian ranger of Anubis, a Church-lady with a a greatsword.
- Osaphis, the sethru bard, a man of the desert
- Princess Akat, the paladin of Anubis, raised by the mummies
- Tetsora, the gebite rogue, the architect

The lineup had one change, the khemite ranger was replaced with the much-prefered anubian ranger, Neferhana.

Miniatures by Crocodile Games and Reaper.

[Akhamet Thursday] Heroes of Akhamet 3

Earlier, I posted about replacement sidekicks. These models will serve as these replacements. I will also have them for sale if anyone wants to go home with one of these little guys.

The Akhamet Campaign Setting is vast and you can create a vast number of different characters.

This guy is a resin character from a Kickstarter by Phil Lewis. I like the homonculus in his hand.

Tomb of Prince Tsubetheb Goes Copper!

Another one reaches copper bestseller level. This adventure was originally written as another dungeoncrawl to showcase some additionnal uniqueness about Akhamet. The start of the adventure really got many parties wonder if what they should be doing as the task itself skirts legality.

It introduces two unique characters, each with its own characteristics that forces the players to navigate their personalities. The finale is very open, lending itself to a lot of creativity. I've seen a lot of that over the many times I ran it. Many players still talk about what they had to do...

Dying of the Day Goes Copper!

On the tail of showing off the miniature for Prince Diogenes, the adventure where he is first encountered has just reached Copper Bestseller level! This adventure will generate passions about this character who has both major flaws and a few (well-hidden) qualities.

This is an adventure that cannot help but make your players react to him, while at the same time sets many events to affect Akhamet!

It is a great honor to be able to call it a copper best-seller. I know I had a blast writing it. Then running it quite a few times.

Heyyyyyy!

Get it on DrireThru RPG today!

[Olympia Wednesday] Prince Diogenes Hero of Akhamet

Ever since he appeared in 2018, Prince Diogenes divided opinions. Many hate him as a philandering lover while other see him has a self-important hero. Whatever, you can meet with the Prince in the adventure Dying of the Day.

The Olympia Campaign Setting has a wealth of miniatures from historical sources that can be used and most of them appear human. So you can use many such models for your character.

He is a model from Dark Fable from their Cleopatra Kickstarter.

[Akhamet Thursday] Citizens of Akhamet

The second one is a Thothru, a race that appears in the Akhamet Player's Guide.

This third one is a Ubasti gamer a bonus from Crocodile Games. He will be given away as a prize during Gencon.

The Akhamet Campaign Setting is vast and you can create a vast number of different characters.

These models are from the Persian range from Old Glory. There are less crisp than Crocodile Games or Foundry, but they paint up nice and are cheaper.
